A lucky gamer just
hit a life-changing $530+ million
jackpot, and yeah, somebody out there is
probably still trying to catch their
breath. A single ticket
sold in Illinois, U.S. matched all six
numbers drawn on Tuesday, March 10,
taking down a massive $536 million Mega Millions® jackpot. The winner can
choose the full jackpot paid out over
time or go for the $245.6 million cash
option. Either way, that’s the kind of
win that flips your whole world upside
down overnight. Players living
outside the United States don’t have to
sit on the sidelines either. People of any
nationality can jump into Mega
Millions and other international
lottery games through the Lotter
website. For folks living
in the United States, tickets can be
purchased directly through the official
Mega Millions® website. Now here’s the
thing about the lottery: it never stays
quiet for long. The jackpot has already
reset to $50 million for tonight’s
drawing on Friday, March 13. And if
you’re the type who likes that quick
cash moment, the estimated lump sum is
about $22 million. So what were the
magic numbers that made someone insanely
rich? The winning combo drawn Tuesday
night was: 16, 21, 30, 35 and 65, plus
the gold Mega Ball 7. And the big
jackpot winner wasn’t the only one
celebrating. There were nearly 7.7
million additional winning tickets sold
for smaller prizes. That includes 18
second-tier prizes ranging from $2
million to $5 million, along with 185
third-tier prizes between $20,000 and
$100,000. Not bad for a random Tuesday
night. The drawings
themselves happen live at 11 p.m. ET
from the WSB-TV studio in Atlanta.
Shortly after the draw, the video gets
posted on the official Mega Millions® website
so players everywhere can watch the
moment those numbers drop.
But hold up, Mega
Millions isn’t the only game bringing
the millionaire energy this weekend. The Powerball® jackpot
is currently sitting at $75 million, and
the next drawing is Saturday, March 14.
If you’re more into the lump-sum life,
the estimated cash option is about $34
million. Players living
abroad can also get in on the action. Anyone, from any
country, can take part in Powerball
and other global lottery games
through the Lotter website. Meanwhile, players
in the United States can buy their
tickets directly through the official Powerball® website. And here’s a
little extra spice for this draw. Since
the advertised jackpot is below $150
million, players get access to the Power
Play 10X multiplier, which means
non-jackpot prizes can be boosted up to
ten times. Imagine turning a regular win
into something ten times bigger, that’s
the kind of lottery magic people love. Powerball drawings
are broadcast live every Monday,
Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET
from the Florida Lottery Draw Studio in
Tallahassee. Fans of the game can also
watch the drawing through the livestream
available on the official Powerball® website.
