One incredibly lucky gamer just had their life flipped upside down in the best way possible after scoring the $250 million Powerball® jackpot in the drawing on Monday, March 2.

Players living abroad are not left out of the action. People from any nationality can take part in Powerball and other international lottery games through The Lotter website.

Players in the United States can purchase their tickets directly through the official Powerball® website.

The winning ticket was sold in Arkansas, U.S., and just like that, someone went from regular player to potential quarter-billionaire overnight. If the winner decides to take the cash option instead of the full jackpot payout, they can walk away with an estimated $118 million, according to the lottery company.

The numbers that made the magic happen were 2, 17, 18, 38 and 62, with the red Powerball 20. The Power Play® multiplier came in at 2X. For the person holding that winning ticket, those numbers probably look pretty legendary right now.

The lucky winner now has a big decision to make. They can choose the annuity option, which pays out the full jackpot in 30 increasing payments over 29 years, or they can grab the lump-sum cash payout of $118.0 million. Both prize amounts are listed before taxes, but either way, that’s the kind of money that can change everything in a heartbeat.

The jackpot has already reset and is now $35 million for tonight’s drawing on Saturday, March 7. Since the advertised jackpot is currently below $150 million, players will also have access to the Power Play® 10X multiplier, giving non-jackpot prizes the chance to be boosted up to ten times.

Powerball drawings are broadcast live every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee, Florida. Fans of the game can also watch the drawings through the livestream available on the Powerball® website.

While Powerball just created a brand-new multimillionaire, Mega Millions® is also heating up in a big way.

The next drawing is scheduled for Tuesday, March 10, and the jackpot is sitting at an eye-popping $533 million. For players who prefer the quick cash option, the estimated lump sum currently stands at $244 million.

Players living abroad, of any nationality, can participate in Mega Millions and other international lotteries through the Lotter website.

U.S. residents can purchase tickets directly through the official Mega Millions® website.

No one matched all the numbers in the most recent drawing on Friday. The winning numbers that night were 8, 19, 26, 38 and 42, with the gold Mega Ball 24. Players should also keep an eye on the Megaplier, which can increase non-jackpot prizes by up to 10X, adding an extra layer of excitement to the game.

Drawing will take place at 11 p.m. ET at the WSB-TV studio in Atlanta, Georgia. Shortly after the draw, the video will be posted on the Mega Millions® website.

Whether it’s Powerball or Mega Millions, jackpots like these are the reason millions of players keep checking their numbers and dreaming big. After all, as the Arkansas winner just proved, it only takes one lucky ticket to change everything.
