British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is set to perform in Costa Rica on Saturday, May 30, as part of his “Loop Tour.” The concert will take place at the National Stadium in San José.

The performance will mark Sheeran’s second appearance in Costa Rica following his sold-out concert in 2015. Costa Rica will also serve as the final stop on his 2026 Latin American tour, which has generated significant excitement among fans throughout the region.

Sheeran’s “Loop Tour” is known for its unique format, featuring the artist performing solo with his guitar and a loop pedal that allows him to layer sounds live on stage.

Fans can expect a mix of Sheeran’s biggest hits, including “Shape of You,” “Perfect” and “Thinking Out Loud,” as well as new songs from his latest album, “Play.” Despite the stadium setting, organizers say the concert will offer an intimate and energetic atmosphere.

Stadium gates will open at 3 p.m. Re-entry will not be permitted once attendees enter the venue. Local band Honahlei is scheduled to perform at 6 p.m., followed by Sheeran at 7 p.m.



Throughout his career, Sheeran has received numerous awards, including the American Music Awards, the Billboard Music Awards, the Brit Awards, the Emmy Awards, the Grammy Awards, and the People’s Choice Awards.

Concert organizers also issued several reminders for attendees:

• Parking will not be permitted in public areas surrounding the stadium.

• Unauthorized vehicles may have their license plates removed.

• Fans will be allowed to line up outside the stadium before the gates open.

• Bags larger than 16 inches by 16 inches by 8 inches will not be allowed.

• Heavy rain is expected, and attendees are encouraged to bring raincoats, as umbrellas will be prohibited.

• Alcohol, outside food and drinks, drugs, signs, selfie sticks, chairs, drones, weapons and similar items will not be permitted inside the venue.

Sheeran joins a growing list of major international artists performing in Costa Rica. In March, Australian soft rock duo Air Supply performed in the country as part of its “50th Anniversary Celebration World Tour.”

Also, American singer, songwriter and actress Christina Aguilera headlined the annual Picnic Festival in Costa Rica.
