Aguilera is expected to close the festival with a performance featuring her chart-topping songs, including “Genie in a Bottle,” “What a Girl Wants,” “Beautiful,” “Dirrty,” “Ain’t No Other Man” and “Lady Marmalade,” among others. Throughout her career, Aguilera has earned numerous awards and honors. At 19, she won the Grammy Award for best new artist, becoming one of the youngest recipients of the honor. She later went on to win four additional Grammy Awards from The Recording Academy, earning 20 nominations overall. Aguilera has also received two Latin Grammy Awards, three Billboard Latin Music Awards (including the Spirit of Hope Award), two MTV Video Music Awards, two People’s Choice Awards (including the inaugural Music Icon Award), three World Music Awards and one Guinness World Record. She remains one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with estimated global sales of more than 100 million records.
Canadian
rock band Simple Plan will perform just
before Aguilera takes the stage. The group
is expected to play hits including
“Welcome to My Life,” “Perfect” and “I’m
Just a Kid,” among others.
