Despite these investments, Costa Rica continues to face employment challenges. According to the National Employment Survey, the country’s unemployment rate stands at 6.9%. Data from December 2024 to February 2025 shows that over 177,000 people are unemployed, with men accounting for 52% of that figure, or approximately 92,000 individuals.
