The Tourism
Institute (ICT) announced that Colombian
low-cost airline Avianca has introduced
new nonstop flights between Costa Rica
and the United States. The new routes
connect Juan Santamaría International
Airport (SJO) in Alajuela Province with
Miami International Airport (MIA) in
Florida. The daily flights
will be operated using Airbus A320
aircraft, which can carry 180 passengers
per trip. Flights from SJO to MIA will
depart at 8:25 a.m. local time, arriving
in Orlando at 1:15 p.m. ET. For
travelers heading to Costa Rica, flights
from MIA to SJO will depart at 9:40 p.m.
ET, landing in Alajuela at 10:40 p.m.
local time. Additional details
