The Miss Universe Costa Rica organization announced that current Miss Universe, Maria Victoria Kjaer Theilvig (21), will visit Costa Rica this week.

Kjaer’s agenda runs from Thursday through Monday and includes a special appearance at the Miss Universe Costa Rica 2025 Grand Finale on July 19 at the ANDE International Conference Center in Heredia.

“I will be attending the Miss Universe Costa Rica 2025 Grand Finale,” said the Danish beauty queen in her announcement. “I’m looking forward to meeting the incredible candidates and sharing this unforgettable experience with all of you. It’s going to be a magical night.”

The Miss Universe Costa Rica 2025 finals will air live on ¡Opa! Channel 38 and will also be streamed on Facebook, X, and YouTube Live.

Kjaer is a Danish model and beauty pageant titleholder who made history as the first Dane to win the Miss Universe crown. She was crowned the 73rd Miss Universe at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City in November 2024.

Kjaer studied business and marketing and is also a professional dancer. As Miss Universe, she has championed causes such as mental health awareness, animal rights, and entrepreneurship in the beauty industry.

Since winning the title, Kjaer has traveled extensively, visiting Mexico, the United States, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, India, Puerto Rico, the Netherlands, the Philippines, and her home country of Denmark.

Victoria Kjaer joins a growing list of international celebrities visiting Costa Rica. In May, Lord of the Rings actors Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan explored the country while filming an episode of their food and travel series, Billy and Dom Eat the World.
