Iron Maiden will perform at 7 p.m. Oct. 8, 2026, at the National Stadium in San José as part of the legendary British heavy metal band’s “Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026,” a tour celebrating 50 years of the band’s musical history.

Iron Maiden is an English heavy metal band formed in Leyton, East London, in 1975 by bassist and primary songwriter Steve Harris.

The current lineup features six musicians with decades of experience: Harris on bass and backing vocals; Dave Murray on lead guitar; Adrian Smith on lead guitar and backing vocals; Bruce Dickinson on lead vocals; Janick Gers on guitar; and Nicko McBrain on drums.

Tickets for the Costa Rica concert are available through the Eticket website.

According to Move Concerts, the company organizing the event, concertgoers should keep the following information in mind:

  • Parking will not be allowed in public areas near the stadium.

  • Street closures around the stadium will begin around 3 p.m. as authorities implement a customized traffic management plan for safety and security.

  • Unauthorized vehicles may have their license plates removed.

  • Five entry zones will be designated according to ticket type. Entry to the “The Trooper” zone will be through the stadium’s northeast gate. Fans with tickets for the seating area in the north wing should use the north gate. Access to the covered seating and balcony areas will be through the east gate. Fans with tickets for the south wing seating area should use the south gate. Entry to the General Zone, where attendees will stand on the playing field, will be through the southwest gate.

  • Fans may line up outside the stadium before the gates open at 4 p.m.

  • Bags larger than 16-by-16-by-8 inches will not be allowed.

  • Heavy rain is expected, so concertgoers are advised to bring coats. Umbrellas will not be allowed inside.

  • Alcohol, vapes, food, drinks, drugs, signs, GoPro cameras, selfie sticks, chairs, drones, weapons and similar items will not be allowed inside the stadium.

According to a statement from the band, fans can expect a special setlist spanning nine studio albums, including many songs that were first performed live in the 1980s.

The “Run For Your Lives” setlist draws heavily from songs Iron Maiden fans have been singing along to for decades. The show includes “The Number of the Beast,” “Run to the Hills,” “The Trooper,” “Hallowed Be Thy Name,” “Aces High,” “Fear of the Dark” and “Wasted Years.”

Iron Maiden has performed three concerts in Costa Rica and has another scheduled for October, bringing the band’s total number of visits to the country to four.

The band’s first Costa Rica concert took place in February 2008 at Ricardo Saprissa Stadium, marking Iron Maiden’s first concert in Costa Rica and in Central America.
