American television host and comedian Jimmy Fallon chose Costa Rica as the destination for a family holiday vacation.

Fallon, 51, best known as the host of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, arrived in the country with his wife and two daughters on Dec. 19, 2025.

They entered through Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport in Liberia, Guanacaste Province, according to Costa Rica’s General Directorate of Migration.

The entertainer and his family spent several days in Guanacaste, enjoying a relaxed vacation that combined leisure and adventure. During the visit, Fallon highlighted the region’s growing reputation as a luxury travel destination.

Fallon shared photos from the trip on his social media accounts, reaching more than 10 million followers on Facebook and 29 million on Instagram.

One of the most notable images showed him ziplining through a dense forest canopy, capturing a memorable moment from the vacation.

Alongside the photo, Fallon added a lighthearted caption reflecting on the experience and thanking his followers for their support.

“Zipping into the new year! Not only did the hat give me unyielding confidence, but the harness cradling my man boob reminded me of the support that I’ve felt from all of you this past year,” Fallon wrote. “Here’s to more fun in 2026.”

Fallon began his television career in the 1990s on Saturday Night Live. In the 2000s, he went on to host Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. In 2014, he debuted as host of The Tonight Show on NBC. He has also appeared in more than 20 films.

Migration authorities confirmed that Fallon and his family departed Costa Rica on Dec. 23.

Fallon is among several international celebrities who have recently brought global attention to Costa Rica as a vacation destination. Australian actor, singer and producer Hugh Jackman, best known for portraying Wolverine in the X-Men film franchise, has also vacationed in the country.

In November 2025, American singer, songwriter and actress Demi Lovato, known for her Disney Channel roles and pop-rock career, vacationed in the country.

In October, British singer, songwriter and fashion designer Louis Tomlinson spent several weeks in Costa Rica, a visit that later inspired his new solo album.

Tourism remains one of Costa Rica’s strongest industries. As of September 2025, more than 2.2 million travelers arrived in Costa Rica by air overall.

In 2024, the country welcomed over 2.6 million international air arrivals, a 7% increase from the previous year.

The sector also generated more than $5.4 billion in foreign exchange earnings in 2024.
