American
singer, songwriter and actress Demi
Lovato, known for her Disney Channel roles
and pop-rock music career, recently took a “Pura
Vida” vacation
in Costa Rica.
According
to Costa Rica’s
General Directorate of Migration, Lovato
arrived at Daniel
Oduber International Airport in
Guanacaste Province on Nov.
17 and
stayed in the country until Nov.
22.
Although
she did not disclose the specific
locations she visited, Lovato explored
Costa Rica’s
lush landscapes with a group of friends.
On
social media, she shared photos and videos
with her 152 million followers,
highlighting tropical beaches and dense
jungle scenery.
Lovato has been in
the public eye since childhood. She
first appeared on the children’s television series
Barney & Friends at age 10 and has
since acted in more than 15 series and
films. She has released nine studio
albums, including her latest, It’s Not That Deep, in
2025. Her biggest hit, “Sorry Not Sorry,” is her
most-streamed track on Spotify and has
been certified seven-times platinum by
the Recording Industry Association of
America. She is also well known for
performing the end-credits version of “Let It Go” for Disney’s Frozen. With its tropical
forests, wildlife and scenic coastlines,
Costa Rica remains a top destination for
travelers and celebrities alike. Recently, British
singer, songwriter and fashion
designer Louis Tomlinson spent
several weeks in the country, a trip
that inspired his new solo album, "How Did I Get Here?"
Tourism remains
one of Costa Rica’s strongest
industries. During the same
period, more than 2.2 million
travelers arrived in Costa Rica by
air overall, according to the
Institute of Tourism (ICT).
The sector also
generated more than $5.4 billion in
foreign exchange earnings in 2024.
ICT is the
government agency responsible for
promoting tourism and investing in
infrastructure improvements.
