Nick Bateman, a 38-year-old Canadian model, actor, and music producer, best known for his role as Wyatt Parker in the American drama series "When Hope Calls," is currently enjoying a family vacation in Costa Rica.



Bateman arrived in the country on April 28 with his wife, Maria Corrigan, and their two children, according to the General Directorate of Migration.



The Canadian star shared a series of photos and videos on social media, delighting his six million followers with snapshots of theirpura vidagetaway.



His posts featured stunning sunsets, playful monkeys, local restaurants, beach outings, golf sessions, and other activities from their stay on the
Papagayo Peninsula in Guanacaste.







A martial arts expert, Bateman won four world titles in the National Blackbelt League’s 15-17 age division (three in weapons and one in Japanese forms), at competitions held in Houston and Myrtle Beach in 2003 and 2004. He has also modeled professionally for Abercrombie & Fitch.



As an actor, Bateman starred among many others, the 2011 film "Hobo," the 2019 movie "A Brush With Love," and the 2021 holiday film "A Christmas Miracle for Daisy." In 2024, he began playing Wyatt Parker in "When Hope Calls."



Bateman joins the ranks of international stars who have recently chosen Costa Rica as their tropical escape. Just last week, British actor Benedict Cumberbatch, best known for playing Doctor Strange in the Marvel Avengers franchise, was also spotted enjoying time in the country with his family.



Recently, Ivanka Trump, daughter of U.S. President Donald Trump has been spotted with several family members in Guanacaste province.



In February, Michael Jordan the iconic NBA star, returned to Costa Rica for the third time this year to the country.



Tourism is a key sector of Costa Rica's economy. In 2024, the country welcomed over 2.6 million tourists by air, a 7% increase from 2023.



In 2024, Costa Rica achieved $5.4 billion in foreign exchange earnings from the tourism sector, according to data from the Central Bank of Costa Rica.
