Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), a London-founded real estate services and investment management firm, has announced the expansion of its corporate offices in Costa Rica, marking a significant step in its Latin American growth strategy.

The company’s newly expanded facilities are located in La Ribera de Belén, in the province of Heredia. The site now covers a total of 4,200 square meters, with 1,900 square meters added as part of the 2025 expansion, making it JLL’s largest headquarters in Latin America.

“This latest milestone, which coincides with JLL’s 24th anniversary of operations in Costa Rica, marks a firm step toward strengthening its footprint in the region, driven by exponential growth in both infrastructure and human talent,” the company said in a statement.

Since its previous expansion in August 2023, JLL has added 242 new workstations. The most recent development also includes 25 new meeting spaces designed to foster collaboration, improve efficiency, and enhance employee well-being.

“We’re thrilled to celebrate more than 20 years of operations in Costa Rica with this significant expansion, which deepens our commitment to the country and its people,” said Karen Corrales, Director of Operations for Latin America at JLL. “Costa Rica has offered us an ideal environment to grow sustainably and continue innovating for our clients around the globe.”

Corrales added, “We're looking to the future with enthusiasm, ready to continue innovating and growing together with Costa Rica.”

In the past year, JLL has hired more than 250 new employees, bringing its total workforce in Costa Rica to nearly 500. The company is actively recruiting for open positions in accounting, finance, marketing, procurement, technology, sales, and facilities management. Candidates must have at least a B2 level of English proficiency. Applications can be submitted through the company’s careers website.

While foreign investment continues to drive economic growth in Costa Rica, the country still faces persistent employment challenges. According to the National Employment Survey, the unemployment rate stood at 7.5% between January and March 2025. More than 178,000 people were unemployed during that period, with men accounting for 54% of that number, approximately 97,000 individuals.

JLL joins a growing list of international firms expanding their presence in Costa Rica. Recently, AVNA Inc., a Connecticut-based manufacturer of medical device components and sub-assemblies, also announced an expansion of its operations in the province of Alajuela.
