Alicia Silverstone, an American actress and social media celebrity, is now vacationing in Costa Rica.

"Eating delicious food... white water rafting... and spending quality time with my son. Costa Rica has amazing so far!, " she said to please her countless number of fans by sharing beautiful pictures from her getaway in the "pura vida" country on social media platforms such as  Instagram or Facebook.

Silverstone became a teenager's idol after starring in the music videos for Aerosmith's Rock Band songs "Cryin', "Amazing," and "Crazy," as well as leading actress in the blockbuster teen comedy film "Clueless" (1995).

The California-born actress and supporter of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) arrived in the country on Saturday, according to the General Directorate of Migration's Tourist Registration Department.

Silverstone got a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress - Television Sitcom Musical or Comedy for her participation in the short-lived NBC sitcom Miss Match (2003).

She has continued to perform in movies, television  and on stage. 

Alicia Silverstone is one of the celebrities who have lately taken a holiday in the country.  Last month, Jordan Lynn-Baxter Poyer and Aaron Charles Rodgers, two elite American Football League players, spent their vacations in Costa Rica.

Tourism is one of the most important economic sectors in Costa Rica. Over 290,000 tourists arrived in the country via air in February, according to the Tourism Institute.

The country reported a new tourism record reached in 2023, with more than 2,4 million travelers.
