marijuana lab
By A.M. Costa Rica staff Police officers from the San Ramón Canton delegation in Alajuela Province found on Tuesday a hydroponic marijuana laboratory inside a house. According to the police report, the officers responded to a call from the owner of a house, located in the San Bosco de Piedades Sur community, about a large number of marijuana plants inside the property. The woman was renting the house to some men who owed her several months' rent. For that reason, she decided to go to the property to talk with the tenants to reach an agreement for the rent payment. However, when she arrived at the place, she realized that the house was abandoned, police said. According to information provided by interviews with neighbors, "the people had moved out of that property several days ago," the police said. With a copy of the key the police entered the property where they found a hydroponic laboratory in two rooms with a large number of marijuana plants. The Drug Control Police took charge of the seizure of approximately 500 plants, as part of the evidence in the case, and to later be destroyed. As of press time, the suspects of the lab had not been arrested. The case was transferred to the agents of the Judicial Investigation Organization. The judicial agents call on the people to report any suspicion of hydroponic marijuana laboratory or any type of crime, to the confidential phone line 800-8000-645. Bilingual agents are available to answer calls in English or Spanish. -------------------------------- What have you heard of hydroponic marijuana labs in your community?
