Huntsman Corp., a Texas-based chemical manufacturer, is expanding its operations in Costa Rica and hiring for positions in specialized fields at its Global Business Services (GBS) center in Heredia Province.

The company, headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas, said its Costa Rica operation has evolved from providing support services to taking on more specialized responsibilities at its center in the America Free Zone (AFZ).

The Costa Rica center is the company’s third global business services center outside the United States, alongside facilities in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Krakow, Poland. It supports Huntsman’s corporate and business functions worldwide.

In addition to accounting, finance and customer service, the center now handles data analytics, process automation, artificial intelligence, demand planning, logistics and inventory management.

The expansion includes demand planning, inventory monitoring, logistics coordination and the administration of transportation and warehousing providers. These functions affect the company’s global operations and are supported by its Costa Rica team, according to Huntsman.

“Costa Rica offers an ideal ecosystem for the growth of our operations. Here we find high-quality talent with innovative, curious, and motivated profiles, capable of going beyond execution to contribute to process design and decision-making,” said Mauricio González, leader of Huntsman’s Global Business Services center in Costa Rica.

“We are looking for people who understand data, challenge assumptions, and know how to work alongside digital experts to improve processes: that is the profile our operation needs today,” González said.

The company is actively recruiting for positions in customer service, logistics, supply chain and demand planning. It is seeking professionals with backgrounds in business, supply chain, engineering or finance, along with strong analytical skills, a customer-focused approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment. English proficiency is required for all positions.

Huntsman also
maintains an internship program throughout the year to develop future employees. High-performing interns may have the opportunity to join the company permanently when a position matching their qualifications becomes available. Interested candidates can apply through Huntsman’s official careers website.

Huntsman is among several U.S. companies expanding their presence in Costa Rica. MWS Wire Industries, based in Chatsworth, California, recently announced plans to open its first facility in Alajuela Province.
