Sir Paul McCartney
drew inspiration from Costa Rica for one
of the songs on his latest album, "The
Boys of Dungeon Lane," which was
recently released worldwide.
In the track
"First Star of the Night," the English
musician and songwriter uses Costa
Rica's rain as an emotional symbol of
both sadness and hope.
The song opens with the following verse: "Raining in Costa Rica. Even when it's raining inside. Something tells me it's alright. Positive emotions that died. Seem to come back shining bright. Like the first star of the night."
The song, along
with the entire album, is available on McCartney's
official YouTube channel.
That performance
marked the former Beatles member's
second concert in Costa Rica, following
his first appearance in the country in
May 2014.
McCartney rose to worldwide fame in the 1960s as a member of the Beatles, serving as the band's bass guitarist and sharing primary songwriting and lead vocal duties with John Lennon.
After
the Beatles disbanded, he launched his
solo career with the 1970 album
"McCartney" and later formed the band
Wings with his first wife, Linda
McCartney.
