Tonight, the Sir Paul McCartney concert at the National Stadium in San José is expected to be a show-stopper.

The concert is part of his 2024 Got Back World Tour and fulfilling his promise to return to Costa Rica at his last show here in 2014, to the delight of fans.

With songs like ‘Hey Jude’, ‘Live and Let Die’, ‘Band on the Run’, ‘Let It Be’ and so many more, the Paul McCartney live experience is everything any music lover could ever want from a rock show: hours of the greatest moments from the last 60 years of music, dozens of songs from Paul’s solo, Wings and of course Beatles catalogs that have formed the soundtracks of our lives.

There are still some tickets left.
The Eticket website sells tickets priced from $70 to $340.

Take these tips, below, before you get to the concert.

  • Parking is not permitted in public areas around the stadium, and traffic officers may seize the license plates of all unauthorized parked car.

  • Fans are allowed to stand in line at the stadium's gates and around its perimeter.

  • The venue will open its doors at 4 p.m. and once you're in, you can't leave and re-enter.

  • The only bags or purses allowed inside the stadium must be 16"x16"x8" or smaller.

  • Fans can't bring alcohol, drinks, food, drugs, signs, GoPros, selfie sticks, chairs, drones, guns, umbrellas, knives, or any other item that may be used as a weapon.

  • The show will start at 7 p.m. and will last around 3 hours.

Paul launched his tour by completing 16 huge shows across the U.S. before performing what the British Times newspaper described as the “best gig ever” with his history-making set at Glastonbury in June 2022.

McCartney’s show is part of an expansive South American tour that also includes dates in Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Argentina, Peru, and Mexico. He’s also lined up several tour dates in the UK and Europe in December.

McCartney, 82, is one of the most renowned British singer, songwriter and musician who gained worldwide fame with the Beatles, for whom he played bass guitar and shared primary songwriting and lead vocal duties with John Lennon.

He has written or co-written a record of 32 songs that have topped the Billboard Hot 100 and, as of 2009, he had sales of $25.5 million in the U.S.

Paul McCartney is one of many international artists performing in Costa Rica. The American alternative rock band will give a concert in November as part of their "World is a Vampire Tour."
