United
Airlines, one of the largest airlines in the
United States, has announced new nonstop
routes between U.S. and Costa Rica, stated
the Tourism Institute.
According
to the institute, in December two daily
extra nonstop flights will be available
between the Daniel Oduber Quiros
International Airport (LIR), also known as
Guanacaste Airport and the Chicago O'Hare
International Airport (ORD) in Chicago. This is in addition
to a new nonstop flights between LIR and the
George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), in
Texas.
The flights
on a
Boeing 737, would
provide travelers with new
routes between Texas, Chicago
and Guanacaste.

Tourism
is one of the most important economic
sectors in Costa Rica. Approximately
1.5 million tourists arrived in the
country via air between January and
June, representing a 14% rise over the
same period in 2023.
The country reported a new tourism record reached in 2023, with more than 2,4 million travelers.
