The legendary British heavy metal band Iron Maiden has officially confirmed a concert at 6:30 p.m. at the National Stadium in San José on Oct. 8, 2026, as part of its “Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026,” a tour celebrating the band’s 50 years of musical history.

Iron Maiden is an English heavy metal band formed in Leyton, East London, in 1975 by bassist and primary songwriter Steve Harris.

The current lineup features six musicians with decades of experience: Steve Harris, bass, backing vocals and founder; Dave Murray, lead guitar; Adrian Smith, lead guitar and backing vocals; Bruce Dickinson, lead vocals; Janick Gers, guitar and Nicko McBrain, drums.

According to a statement from the band, fans can expect a special setlist spanning nine studio albums, including many songs that were first performed live in the 1980s.

The “Run For Your Lives” setlist draws heavily from songs that Iron Maiden fans have been singing along to for decades. “The Number of the Beast,” “Run to the Hills,” “The Trooper,” “Hallowed Be Thy Name,” “Aces High,” “Fear of the Dark” and “Wasted Years” are all part of the show.

Tickets for the Costa Rica concert are available through the Eticket website.

Iron Maiden has performed three concerts in Costa Rica and has one more scheduled for October, bringing the band’s total number of visits to the country to four.

The band’s first concert in Costa Rica took place in February 2008 at Ricardo Saprissa Stadium, marking Iron Maiden’s first concert in the country and in Central America.

The band returned for its second Costa Rica concert in March 2009 at Ricardo Saprissa Stadium as part of the “Somewhere Back in Time” tour.

Iron Maiden’s third concert in Costa Rica took place in March 2016 at Ricardo Saprissa Stadium during “The Book of Souls World Tour.”

Iron Maiden joins a growing list of major international artists performing in Costa Rica. British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran performed in Costa Rica in May as part of his “Loop Tour.”

In March, Australian soft rock duo Air Supply performed in the country as part of its “50th Anniversary Celebration World Tour.”
