scholarship in UK universities

By the A.M. Costa Rica staff

The British Ambassador to Costa Rica and Nicaragua, Ross Denny, hosted a virtual farewell event for Chevening scholars selected to study a one-year Masters in the United Kingdom.

According to the U.K. embassy, three Costa Ricans students Jose Rojas, Maria Fernanda Cruz and Mónica Hildago will get a scholarship to get a Master's in the corresponding campus of the University of Bristol, University of Sussex and University College London.

Also three Nicaraguans students won the scholarship to study in the U.K.. They are Alejandra Vijil and Amanda Martinez at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and Ludwing Moncada at the University College London.

Although the circumstances had prevented them from starting their courses physically in the United Kingdom, universities adapted quickly. Meaning the current context meant that they were all able to begin their studies virtually.

The Chevening scholarship program of the UK was established in 1983.

Applications for the 2021-2022 academic year have already opened and will close on November 3, 2020. Check the Chevening website for more information and application details.
