Border Police officers found several bags dumped 100 meters near Jobo Bay in Guanacaste Province, during a routine patrol.

According to the police report, the Narcotics Section of the Judicial Investigation Organization analyzed the content of the bags.

In total, 238 rectangular packages were found inside the seven large bags found at the beach, which were covered with black plastic bags and hidden among the weeds.

In the examination it was determined that the packages contained cocaine, so the drug was seized.

No suspects were found or detained near the scene. Judicial agents will continue with the investigation to find those responsible for hiding the drugs on the beach.

The judicial agents call on the people of Costa Rica to report any suspicion of transportation or drug sales to the confidential line 800-8000-645. Bilingual agents are available to answer calls in English or Spanish.
