Headquartered in Chicago, U.S.A, ActiveCampaign, an intelligent marketing automation platform, announced the opening of its operations in Belén District, in Heredia Province.

According to the firm, the new branch will support its businesses in Latin America.

This $4 million investment is part of the company's efforts to expand its presence in the region and provide enhanced support to its clients through local resources.

ActiveCampaign provides a platform for intelligent marketing automation and transactional emails among other tech services.

The local team has already provided a tremendous customer experience,” said Ana Guzmán, ActiveCampaign’s Site Director in Costa Rica. “We are so lucky to have such an amazing team here and to work with collaborative, local customers. It was really fun getting to bring everyone together to celebrate this momentous occasion!”

Costa Rica's unemployment remains at 8.1%, according to the National Employment Survey. Data recorded from July to September 2023 shows more than 183,000 people without registered jobs. Of these, 107,000 are men, making up 58% of the unemployed people in the country.

ActiveCampaign is one of many international firms investing in Costa Rica. Last week, the satellite internet service provided by Elon Musk's company Starlink, opened operations in Costa Rica.
