Those interested in exploring current job opportunities in fields such as Technology and Engineering, Business Processes, Sales and Marketing, and Contact Centers among others should visit the firm career's website.
Recently Cognizant celebrated the 10th anniversary of its arrival in Costa Rica. The company, which focuses on providing professional consulting and technology services, projects ambitious growth during 2024 for its local operations.
According to Diego Quiros, Director of Cognizant Costa Rica, since it arrived in the country a decade ago, the firm has experienced steady growth, becoming a vital part of the company's strategy in the region.
"Access to exceptionally talented professionals, the positive perception of the country's image among our clients, and the valuable support of expert advisors, such as CINDE and the Zona Franca América (AFZ) business park, have allowed us to expand our range of services and clients," he noted.
Cognizant is one of many U.S. firms hiring in Costa Rica. Recently, the Chicago-headquartered TransUnion, a global consumer credit reporting agency, announced the expansion of its operations of its Global Capability Center, GCC, located in Heredia Province.
Costa Rica's unemployment remains at 7.2%, according to the National Employment Survey. Data recorded from Sept. to Nov. 2023 shows more than 159,000 people without registered jobs. Of these, 95,000 are men, making up 59% of the unemployed people in the country.
