Rick Harrison, owner of the world-famous Las Vegas pawn business Gold & Silver Pawn, is in Costa Rica as part of his "History Fest" Central American tour.
Harrison, a businessman, rose to prominence with his reality television show, Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, which airs on the History series Pawn Stars.
In 2009, the show featured Harrison and his father, Richard Harrison, who was known on the show as "The Old Man" and died in June 2018, together with his son Corey "Big Hoss" and Corey's boyhood buddy and coworker Austin "Chumlee" Russell.
Harrison will host the History Fest show on Saturday, Nov. 18 at the City Mall in Alajuela Province, organized by the History channel.
The show, which begins at noon, will also feature specialists on Costa Rican folklore, live music, and entertaining activities for spectators. The event admission is free.
History Fest, which has been filmed live in some Central American nations such as Guatemala and El Salvador, aims to create an emotional connection between the content of history and the audience.
Rick Harrison is just one of many celebrities who have visited Costa Rica this year. Recently, Kevin Costner, a well-known American actor, producer, and film director, chose Costa Rica as his vacation destination.
