Kevin Costner, a well-known American actor, producer, and film director, chose Costa Rica as his vacation destination.
The actor
arrived in the country on a private
plane on Monday, landing at the Juan
Santamaría International Airport in
Alajuela Province.
His trip was revealed when an airport worker, Ariel Ortiz Hinojosa, recognized him and asked him for a photo.
On the 36 news channel, Ortiz detailed his brief interaction with the actor, describing him as "a nice and close person to his fans."
So yet, the precise location of Costner's stay in the country is unknown.
The General Directorate of Migration's Press Office confirmed that the actor entered the country on Sept. 18 and there was no record of his departure as of Tuesday.
Costner has had a successful career in the entertainment industry and has appeared in numerous films such as "Dances with Wolves" (1990), where he directed and starred in this epic Western film, which won seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. He also received the Best Actor nomination for his role in this movie as Lieutenant John J. Dunbar.
More blockbuster movies filmed by Costner were The Bodyguard (1992), Robin Hood (1991) and JFK (1991) among many others.
Aside from acting, Costner is also known for his involvement in various musical projects. He is the lead singer of a country rock band called Kevin Costner & Modern West.
Throughout his career, Costner has received critical acclaim and awards for his work in film. He has become one of Hollywood's most recognizable and respected actors and directors.
Costner is just one of several celebrities who visit Costa Rica on vacation. Other celebrities, like Colombian singer Shakira, German professional goalkeeper Manuel Peter Neuer, American actor Kevin Hart, and Ivanka Trump, the daughter of former U.S. President Donald Trump, have recently vacationed in the Pura Vida country.
