Swiss company based in Basel, Straumann Group, a factory of tooth replacement and orthodontic solutions announced the opening of its operations at the Cafetal Corporate Center, located in Heredia Province.
The strategic decision reflects the company's commitment to its growth and expansion in Latin America and Caribe.
According to the firm, they are investing a total of $1.4 million in Costa Rica resulting in the creation of new jobs.
The company is also engaged in the research, development, manufacturing and supply of dental implants, instruments, CAD/CAM prosthetics, orthodontic aligners, biomaterials and digital solutions for use in dental correction, replacement and restoration.
In Costa Rica, Straumann Group will develop the following types of operations: Distribution Center for Central America & Caribe, Customer Services for North America, Orthodontic Aligner Planning Center, Service Center and Sales Division for Costa Rica.

young and talented workforce, the majority
of whom are bilingual, and this is
invaluable to our operations.”
Among the
profiles the company is looking for in
2024, are treatment plan designers,
customer service representatives,
administrative staff, and professionals
in medical device sales, with a minimum
English proficiency level of C1. The
positions and their respective vacancies
will be gradually posted by the
company's strategic plans. Interested
individuals can apply on the company
jobs website. The firm
products, solutions and services are
available in over 100 countries through
an extensive network of subsidiaries and
distribution partners. The company
employs more than 10,500 people
worldwide. Straumann
is one of many international firms
hiring in Costa Rica. Last
week, the New Jersey,
U.S.A.-headquartered firm Cognizant
Technologies, announced the open jobs
for its facilities located in the
America Industrial Zone in Heredia
Province. However,
Costa Rica's unemployment remains at
7.2%, according to the National
Employment Survey. Data recorded from
Sept. to Nov. 2023 shows more than
159,000 people without registered jobs.
Of these, 95,000 are men, making up 59%
of the unemployed people in the country.
