Among the main causes of these road accidents were careless drivers and unsuspecting pedestrians. This week, the traffic police reported about 204,000 drivers were fined for breaking the Traffic Law.

Also, Congress pre-approved a new reform that modifies traffic legislation and raises penalties for drivers detained for street racing.

Police call on drivers to respect the law and take precautionary measures to avoid accidents. People can report any case of reckless driving to the 911 emergency line.
