Morgan Freeman, the legendary American actor and producer, spent a few days in Costa Rica.

The Academy Award-winning actor for Best Supporting Actor for his role as a former boxer in Clint Eastwood's sports drama Million Dollar Baby (2004), was in the Pura Vida country from Wednesday, December 11, to Saturday, December 14, according to official records from the General Directorate of Migration.

Fans of the legendary 87-year-old actor shared photos on social media of Freeman visiting several tourist spots in Guanacaste Province.

An Italian restaurant in Santa Cruz Canton shared numerous photos of the famous actor on their Instagram and Facebook sites.

"We had the honor of hosting the legendary Morgan Freeman at our restaurant," La Forketta restaurant posted on its Facebook page to illustrate a series of pics of the actor with his fans. "His kindness made that night an unforgettable experience. Thank you for making our Italian corner in Costa Rica part of your trip."

Freeman also pleased his fans at Hazel's Steak & Seafood Restaurant in Flamingo Marina, Guanacaste.

"We are honored and thrilled to have Morgan Freeman join us at the restaurant for dinner," posted the restaurant on its Facebook page.

However, Freeman has yet to reveal any specifics about his trip to the top country of the 2019 Happy Planet Index (HPI).

Morgan Freeman was born in Memphis, Tennessee, United States, and is widely recognized as one of the finest performers of all time. He has garnered various awards throughout the course of his five-decade career, including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Tony Award nomination.

He received the Kennedy Center Honor, an AFI Life Achievement Award, the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award.

Freeman is one of many celebrities who have chosen Costa Rica to spend their vacations.  Recently, the Canadian singer Justin Bieber, his wife the American top model Hailey, and the American influencer Kendall Jenner shared on their social media photos of their holidays in Costa Rica.
