The Manuel Mora Valverde Public Hospital in Puntarenas Province's Golfito Canton has begun a campaign to provide massive medical services.
The hospital health professionals will offer a wide range of medical procedures, including orthopedics, colonoscopies, gastroscopies, ultrasounds, and mammograms, among many others, according to Social Security.
The medical services kicked off this week and will run from Monday through Friday, through December. The hospital staff aims to care for the approximately 5,000 patients assigned to this particular facility.
Based
on the information patients give
during registration, health
professionals will get in touch with
them to schedule medical
consultations. Residents
of Golfito, including foreigners
with DIMEX cards, may find out more
about the medical campaign by going
to the hospital's information desk.
Also available from the hospital are
information lines 2775-7959 or
2775-7827. This is
one of many mass medical services
campaigns launched by public
institutions this year. Last
week, another massive medical
campaign began at the Anexion
Public Hospital located in Nicoya
Canton in Guanacaste Province. To
provide non-emergency medical care
and shorten wait times for
appointments, Social Security has
developed many widespread
initiatives. These efforts seek to
finish all non-emergency medical
services that were put off between
2020 and 2022 when the epidemic was
at its worst, authorities said. ---------------
