A medical services campaign will take place at the Anexion Public Hospital located in Nicoya Canton, Guanacaste Province.
According to Social Security, clinic staff will provide a wide variety of medical services such as orthopedics, urology, general surgery and ophthalmology among others.
The campaign began this week and is scheduled to continue until December. The hospital staff's goal is to provide care to a minimum of 5,000 patients assigned to this specific hospital.
Health workers will contact patients based on the information they provided during registration to arrange medical consultations.
Nicoya residents, including foreign residents with DIMEX cards, can obtain additional information about the medical campaign by visiting the hospital information office.
This is one of many mass medical services campaigns launched by public institutions this year. Recently, the Jaco Beach Public Clinic, known as Ebais, located in Garabito Canton in Puntarenas Province, launched a massive campaign to detect cancer.
Social Security has launched several mass campaigns to offer non-emergency medical services and reduce waiting times for appointments. These campaigns aim to complete all the non-emergency medical services that were postponed during the peak of the pandemic between 2020 and 2022.
