By the A.M. Costa Rica staff
The Social Security Public Clinic in Zarcero Canton, in Alajuela Province, announced a campaign to provide mass breast cancer prevention medical services, to be held on Wednesday, Oct. 18.
The clinic's health professionals will offer a wide range of medical procedures, including the Papanicolaou test, breast examinations, and mammograms among many others.
The medical services will run from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The clinic staff aims to care for all the women interested in getting this medical service and assigned to this particular facility.
Based on
the information provided by patients
during registration, health
professionals will get in touch with
them to schedule medical consultations. Residents
of Zarcero, including foreigners with
DIMEX cards, may find out more about the
medical campaign by going to the
clinic's information desk. This is one
of many mass medical services campaigns
launched by public institutions this
year. Recently,
the Manuel Mora Valverde Public
Hospital in Puntarenas Province's
Golfito Canton began a campaign to
provide massive medical services. To provide
non-emergency medical care and shorten
wait times for appointments, Social
Security has developed many widespread
initiatives. These efforts seek to
finish all non-emergency medical
services that were put off between 2020
and 2022 when the epidemic was at its
worst, authorities said. -------------
