Costa Rica promotes tourism by placing advertisements on cabs in London, England. According to the Tourism Institute, Londoners will find vintage cabs displaying banners showcasing Costa Rica's biodiversity, such as a red-eyed frog, as part of this new advertising effort. Other cabs also display Costa Rica nature photos such as beaches, and animals. In addition to outdoor tourism activities like diving or kayaking. The initiative is part of the institute's efforts to market the country as a tourism destination. "For three days, London's largest exhibition center. It is attended by hundreds of thousands of individuals who work in tourism across the world, and it is an excellent chance to showcase the Essential Costa Rica brand," said Carolina Trejos, the institute's marketing director.
As of Sept., Costa Rica has reached over 1.8 million tourists. Of these, over 49,000 British tourists have visited Costa Rica. The statistics show that each British tourist had an average expense of $133 per day with a stay of close to 15 nights.
Last year, about 2.3 million tourists visited the country. That is one million more visitors than in 2021.
