Costa Rica hosted the Motivation Luxury Summit, which was held in the JW Marriott Hotel in Guanacaste Province.

The Tourism Institute believes that the conference will help promote the nation in the luxury tourist business.

During the summit, 18 Costa Rican tourist company officials met with 50 tourism company representatives from countries such as the United States, Canada, and Mexico, among others.

Luxury tourist representatives from Aruba, Argentina, Barbados, Chile, the United Arab Emirates, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Uruguay, among others, attended the conference.

In addition to attending the meetings, officials from the invited nations were given tours around Guanacaste sponsored by the institute.

Costa Rica's tourism industry is a significant contributor to its economy. As of June, over 1.3 million tourists have visited the country.

Last year, approximately 2.3 million tourists traveled to the country, which is one million more than the number of visitors in 2021.

The Motivation Luxury Summit is one of many congresses held in Costa Rica. Recently, the country held the "Planet, People, and Peace (P3) Tourism Summit," which took place in San José.
