Arby's,
American fast-food restaurant chain
headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, has
announced plans for growth in Costa Rica.
In
November 2022, the quick-service and
fast-casual restaurant launched its first
location in Curridabat Canton, San
José. Currently, the brand owns three
eateries, including City Mall in Alajuela
and Oxígeno Mall in Heredia.
According to a statement by Arblat, the company that owns the Arby's franchise as well as other well-known American restaurant chains such as Burger King, Domino's Pizza and Popeyes, at least 15 fresh locations will open in the country. The
company is currently recruiting cooks,
cashiers, clerks, administrative
assistants, and restaurant managers. Job
qualifications include the flexibility to
work shifting schedules and experience
working in restaurants. Those interested
in applying for a job position should call
506-24598-888 or visit the
Domino's Pizza Costa Rica website, which
is part of the same company franchise.
Arby's,
with over 3,400 restaurants worldwide, is
best known for serving roast beef
sandwiches, wraps, chicken sandwiches and
milkshakes.
Arby's
is one of many American food brand
restaurants investing in Costa Rica. Recently,
Dunkin', a U.S. and internationally
recognized coffee and donuts shop
company, announced the opening of more
locations in the country.
Even
though new international companies are
creating jobs in Costa Rica, the
unemployment rate is 7.8%, according to
the National Employment Survey. Data
recorded from May to July shows more than
186,000 people without registered jobs. Of
these, 106,000 are men, making up 57% of
the unemployed people in the country.
