Dunkin', a U.S. and internationally recognized coffee and donuts shop company, continues to focus on opening new locations in Costa Rica.

The Massachusetts, USA-based bakery recently inaugurated the second shop in the Santa Ana Town Center facilities and plans to open this weekend a third location in the Avenida Escazu Shop Center, both in San José.

These new locations are part of the seven coffee stores planned to open in Costa Rica with a $3 million investment according to AR Holdings, the company that owns the franchise.

The first Dunkin coffee shop in Costa Rica was inaugurated in July at the Valencia Shopping Center in Heredia Province.

The new Dunkin stores in Costa Rica will create jobs and contribute to local economic growth, stated Miguel Ramírez, director of operations for AR Holdings.

On Saturday, at the Escazu location, Dunkin' fans will enjoy a special opening menu, freebies, music, shows and more.

"Our menu is full of great-tasting items that will get you going and keep you running throughout your busy day," the popular coffee shop says on its website.

Customers can also choose from a variety of iced coffee and frozen drinks, such as grape, pineapple, strawberry, vanilla and cotton candy among others.

Donuts are made fresh daily and come in a wide variety of flavors, including glazed, chocolate frosted, and cream.

The company also offers a selection of other baked goods, such as muffins, bagels, and croissants.

Dunkin', the world's biggest bakery and coffee company, serves over 3 million consumers every day. With about 13,000 locations in 42 countries.

Dunkin’ is one of many international brand shops opening in Costa Rica. Recently, Krispy Kreme, a doughnut and coffeehouse business based in the United States, expanded its operations in the country.
