Social Security builds $25
million-plus clinic in Guanacaste

On Monday, construction began for a new Social Security clinic in Santa Cruz District in Guanacaste Province, with an investment of $25,025,540.

Services planned for the new clinic include general medicine, nutrition, psychology, palliative care, among others. According to Social Security, the new clinic budget also includes construction and equipment expenses.

The approximately 9,500 square meter clinic will be located on 17,913.84 square meters of land close to the current public clinic in that district.

According to Social Security, Santa Cruz has 13 public clinics, known as Ebais. They employ 203 health workers.
