On Wednesday, police officers from the Buenos Aires delegation in Puntarenas Province, carried out evictions on a farm that belongs to the Salitre indigenous territory.

According to the police report, the action to evict the squatters who lived on that property happened peacefully because they had already left before the police arrived.

The property was handed over to the Association for the Development of the Indigenous Reserve of Salitre.

The police continue to execute eviction orders to recover their territories within the framework of legality, said Eduardo Solano, Vice Minister of Public Security.

According to the ministry, there are still eight eviction files in that indigenous area, where five have already been carried out, the other three are in precautionary measures that are being analyzed by the judge.
