The U.S.-based Life Sciences announced the expansion of its branch in Costa Rica (CRX Life Sciences) to enhance the life sciences industry in the region from its facilities located in the Coyol Industrial Trade Zone in Alajuela Province.

According to the firm, the strategy goal is to improve, design and transfer processes and products to other multinationals in the life sciences sector including medical device, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

“We are the main provider of consulting services for the life sciences sector in the region, with a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape and best market practices,” said Juan Carlos Rodríguez, Director of Operations, LATAM. “That has allowed us to identify current gaps in the industry that can be covered by our current and future team.”

The company growth represents an increase in 1,500 m2 building as well as in its payroll of around 60%. They are actively hiring individuals as advisers, with initiative, problem-solving and communication skills. Those interested in applying for a job vacancy should visit the firm career's website.

Costa Rica's unemployment remains at 8.1%, according to the National Employment Survey. Data recorded from July to September 2023 shows more than 183,000 people without registered jobs. Of these, 107,000 are men, making up 58% of the unemployed people in the country.

CRX Life Sciences is one of many international firms expanding operations in Costa Rica. Recently, H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB (H & M store), a multinational retail company based in Sweden, announced the expansion of its operations with the opening of its second store.
