U.S. donation of $48K to public schools

The United States government gave $48,500 in new desks and construction materials to three public schools in Puntarenas and Guanacaste, via its consulate.


The United States Embassy's Office of Defense Representative Humanitarian Assistance Program collaborated with the La Puna public school in Buenos Aires Canton, Puntarenas. The 70 student desks have been valued at $11,000.






Also, they provided construction materials to allow pupils to have access to drinking water at the Agua Buena public school in Coto Brus Canton, in Puntarenas. This contribution was worth $25,000.


They also gave 90 desks to the Jaime Gutiérrez Braun public school in Tilaran Canton in Guanacaste Province. This donation was worth $12,500.


Recently, two public schools in Limón Province received donations from the U.S. totaling roughly $36,000.
