Fans
of the renowned U.S. rock band Interpol will be
pleased to attend its live concert in Costa
Rica, which is part of the band's "The Other
Side of Make Believe" global tour. The
event promises a memorable evening with the
band's biggest singles such as "PDA,"
"Obstacle 1," and "Say Hello to the Angels,"
among others. The
band's members, Paul Banks (lead vocals,
rhythm guitar), Daniel Kessler (lead guitar,
backing vocals), and Samuel Fogarino (drums
and percussion), are sure to please the
audience. The
concert will be held on
Friday, May 24, at the Parque Viva Amphitheater in
Guácima Canton, Alajuela Province.
Interpol
was founded in Manhattan, New York, in
1997. It is a
band linked with the New York indie music
scene, as well as one of many bands that
arose during the 2000s post-punk
resurgence. Turn
On the Bright Lights (2002), Interpol's
debut album received critical praise and
ranked No. 10 on New Musical Express'
selection of the best albums of the year. The
band's latest and seventh studio album,
"The Other Side of Make-Believe," was
released in July 2022. Interpol
is one of several international bands
performing in Costa Rica. Recently, Julian
Marley, the British-Jamaican reggae
artist, songwriter, producer, and son of
reggae music idol Bob Marley, performed
with the iconic band The Wailers at the
Pedregal Events Center in Heredia. That
concert was part of the Mae Reggae Fest,
which also featured performances by 20
reggae music groups like Chase, Mikayla
Taylor, Koino, and Voodo among many
others.
