A medical services campaign will take place on Friday, Aug. 18, at the El Concho de Pocosol Public Clinic in San Carlos Canton, which is situated in Alajuela Province.

According to Social Security, the clinic staff will provide a wide variety of medical services. Patients will be able to access routine eye exams, general medical check-ups, dental care, laboratory testing, nutritional guidance, mental health support, blood pressure monitoring, heart pressure tests, prescription eyeglasses and vaccinations for the flu and covid-19, to name a few.

The campaign operates from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Their goal is to provide care to a minimum of 1,500 patients assigned to this specific clinic.

Clinic personnel will contact patients based on the information they provided during registration to arrange medical consultations.

Residents of El Concho, Pocosol, San Isidro, La Guaria, El Campo, Jocote, or Llano Verde, can obtain additional information about the medical campaign by visiting the clinic information office.

Foreign residents with DIMEX cards will also receive medical services.

This is one of many mass medical services campaigns launched by public institutions this year. Last week, the Ricardo Jiménez Núñez Public Clinic in Guadalupe Canton, situated in San José Province, conducted significant medical services, providing treatment to over 1,500 patients.

Social Security has launched several mass campaigns to offer non-emergency medical services and reduce waiting times for appointments. These campaigns aim to complete all the non-emergency medical services that were postponed during the peak of the pandemic between 2020 and 2022.
