On Wednesday, there will be a large-scale medical services campaign held at the Ricardo Jiménez Núñez Public Clinic in Guadalupe Canton, located in San José Province.
The Social Security campaign runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. during which health workers strive to attend at least 1,500 patients who have been designated to this clinic.
Staffers will offer a comprehensive range of medical services including regular eye exams, prescription glasses, general eye care, blood pressure checks, heart pressure tests, and dental care, among others.
The
clinic staff will reach out to
patients according to their
registration details to schedule
medical appointments. Residents
of Guadalupe Canton, as well as
foreign residents with DIMEX
residency cards, can gather
additional information about the
medical campaign by visiting the
clinic information office. This is
one of many mass medical services
campaigns launched by public
institutions this year. The
Jaco Beach Public Clinic, known as
Ebais, located in Garabito Canton
in Puntarenas Province, launched a
campaign for cancer detection. The
mass campaigns provide a handful of
non-emergency medical services that
Social Security has launched to
reduce waiting times for medical
appointments. They are attempting to
catch up on all non-emergency
services put on hold during the
height of the pandemic from
2020-2022. --------
