The management consulting firm Auxis, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, announced an expansion of its facilities in the Heredia Province's America Free Zone business park.

The company plans to expand in Costa Rica. They're hiring a goal of 500 job positions by 2023, bringing the total workforce to 1,300. Approximately 100 job positions are still available.

The company aims to meet increasing demand for back office, front office, and IT services, including automation and digital transformation.

According to Auxis founder and CEO Raúl Vega, Costa Rica's highly qualified talent and solid communication and collaboration drive high performance in the face of challenges like talent shortages, economic uncertainty, and digital transformation.

The Florida company credits its successful global shared service operations in Costa Rica to a favorable time zone, highly educated workforce, cultural alignment, excellent English proficiency, and a supportive business environment that fosters high efficiency.

The company is hiring for various positions, including IT engineers, smart automation developers, service agents, technical account managers, sales representatives with lead-generation skills, and roles in accounting and finance.

New team members will enjoy a business culture that promotes skill-building through work with emerging technologies in various roles. They will also have access to performance-based recognition programs, comprehensive medical benefits, and a guarantee that their ideas will be heard and encouraged.

Auxis provides a hybrid work environment for most roles, allowing employees to gain experience working with top North American companies in various industries. Those interested in applying can learn more about the job openings at the firm careers website.

Even though new businesses are creating jobs, unemployment remains at 9.6%, according to the National Employment Survey.

Data recorded from May to June 2023 shows more than 225,000 people without registered jobs. Of these, 116,000 are men, making up 51% of the unemployed people in the country.

Auxis is one of many U.S. firms investing in Costa Rica. Last week, the Oregon-headquartered firm Riverpoint Medical announced an investment of $10 million to expand its operations in the Coyol Industrial Trade Zone in Alajuela Province.
