Drinking water in Guanacaste improves

A new drinking water storage tank valued at over $950,000 was built in San Bernardo District in Bagaces Canton, Guanacaste Province.


According to the Rural Development Institute, of the total cost of this project, $940,000 was covered by the institute's budget. Everything else was paid for by local Drinking Water Associations, known as Asada.





The giant 400 cubic meter tank will provide the vital liquid to about 2,300 people in the communities of Bagaces. The water improvement project guarantees drinking water for the next 20 years, authorities said.


Recently, the institute installed a 500 cubic meter water tank that will provide vital liquid to about 5,000 in Alajuela Province.
