The Contrapunto Flamenco Dance
Show
lights up the National
Theater
in San José, bringing the
award-winning performance straight
from Spain’s
Jerez Flamenco Festival. Expect
stunning dance, live music, and a deep
dive into the soul of flamenco. The
show starts at 8 p.m., and tickets are
available at the theater box office or

The Jazz Café Pub
in San José features the Diesel Rock Band,
bringing you the best of rock from the
'60s
to the '90s.

The Heredia Symphony Orchestra is bringing a Beethoven-inspired concert to the Catholic Church in Heredia. The concert starts at 7 p.m. and it's free for everyone.

The National Symphony Orchestra is taking over the Melico Salazar Theater in San José with a grand opera gala celebrating 175 years of friendship between Spain and Costa Rica. Catch the magic Friday at 8 p.m. or Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Grab your tickets at the theater box office or on the theater website.

The National
Network of Music Orchestra is throwing down three Latin
Music concerts. First at the León Cortés Municipality in San José at 11 a.m. Then, at
the Community Hall located
in Piedades Norte District, San Ramón, Alajuela, at 3 p.m.
Later at the Guanacaste Museum in Liberia, Guanacaste at 7 p.m.
All shows are 100% free of charge.
On Sunday
A Night With Tango Show
hits the National
Auditorium
in San José, featuring the Costa Rican
Chamber Opera. The
show starts at 6 p.m., and tickets are
up
for grabs
at the auditorium box office or on the Children’s Museum website,
which is sponsoring this show.
The Marching Band Festival
hits Liberia, Guanacaste, with bands
from all over the country parading
from La Guaria to the Edgardo
Baltodano Briceño Stadium.
The fun kicks off at 2 p.m., and it’s
free for everyone.
It’s Carnival
time in Limón! The Ministry of Culture and the
Municipality of Limón are bringing
the city to life with a full-on
Limón Carnival celebration. Expect
parades, Caribbean eats, live music,
family games, sports, and a closing
concert every night. The fun kicks
off daily at noon at Limon City Central Park, and it’s free for everyone. The
Community Cultural Fair is taking over Aquiares District in Turrialba Canton, Cartago.
Think music, dancing, sports, and a
huge horse parade, food trucks,
bullfights and a playground too.
Gates open at 10 a.m., and it’s free for everyone. The Expressivo Theater in San José
is putting on "1984," a powerful
stage adaptation of George Orwell’s classic
novel. It’s a sharp,
modern take on life in a world
full of surveillance and twisted
truths. Showtimes are 8 p.m.
on Friday and Saturday, and 6 p.m.

"Crazy
Lucky" at the Máscara Theater in San José. The comedy follows
the hilarious chaos that unfolds when a
group of friends gets together. Showtimes are Friday and

The Torres Theater in San José is
featuring the comedy play "Orgasms." The show takes a
funny and honest look at the
complexities of modern relationships. Showtimes: on Friday and

box office. Please note, the show is
for audiences 15 years old and older.
The Moliere Theater in San José shows the comedy play "Papichulo" (Handsome Daddy). The story follows a thief who ends up in all kinds of crazy trouble while trying to rob a house full of women. Showtimes: Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the theater box office.
Get ready for laughs at the Triciclo Theater in San José with "Suegras Bárbaras" (Crazy Mothers-in-Law). This hilarious comedy follows a couple on vacation who, thanks to an unexpected twist, find themselves having to bring their mother-in-law along for the ride.
