Friday
Opera trio Los Tenores takes the stage at the Melico Salazar Theater in San José for a special “10 Years of Anniversary Gala Concert.” Backed by the Universal Orchestra, the singers will take the audience on a festive musical ride featuring timeless classics, modern hits and tropical rhythms. This Weekend
The Ride Cultura Fest is taking over the cantons of San Mateo, San Rafael and Poás in Alajuela Province with a packed lineup of live music, dance, sports, art, film screenings, literacy workshops and much more. The Espressivo Theater in San José presents "Animal Farm," the acclaimed stage adaptation inspired by George Orwell's satirical allegorical dystopian novel, first published in England on Aug. 17, 1945. The story follows the mistreated animals of Manor Farm as they rise up against their human owner, hoping to build a society where all animals are equal, free, and happy. But their revolution is ultimately betrayed, and under the dictatorship of the pigs, the farm becomes a dystopia much like the one they tried to escape.
