Soccer
Legends Game is taking over the National Stadium in San José for a
can’t-miss showdown between
the all-time greats of FC Barcelona and
Real Madrid. This Legends of Soccer
match brings retired superstars back to
the pitch, giving fans a rare chance to
see icons like Ronaldinho, Iker
Casillas, Guti, Claude Makélélé, Carles
Puyol, Rivaldo, Javier Saviola, Pepe,
and many more, live and in one place. It’s the first time
these Spanish soccer legends have ever
played a match in Costa Rica, making
this a straight-up historic night for
fans. Kickoff is at 6 p.m., and tickets
are available on the Kuikpei website.
Lunada Show lights up the Fidel Gamboa Amphitheater inside the National Cultural Center in San José with a tropical music night made for dancing. Organized by the Ministry of Culture, this free event brings multiple Latin music bands to the stage for a high-energy evening under the open sky. The music starts at 6 p.m., and admission is free.
On Sunday
Opera fans can catch The Fallen Woman (La Traviata) at Sala Garbo Theater in San José, presented as a live broadcast from the Royal Opera House in London. This classic opera, composed by legendary Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi, brings world-class performance straight to the local screen. The show begins at 3 p.m., with tickets available at the theater box office.

Inspired by the work of French
playwright Marc Camoletti, the story
follows a series of hilarious
misunderstandings in a renovated French
farmhouse about two hours from Paris,
where Bernard plans to send his wife,
Jacqueline, away for the weekend so he
can spend time with his mistress,
Suzanne, a Parisian model. The play
starts at 8 p.m. on Fridays and
Saturdays and at 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Santa María Dota
Canton Central Park in San José is
turning into a full-blown celebration as
the Dota Community Fair rolls in.
The weekend lineup delivers live music
throughout the day, nighttime concerts
that keep the energy high, and dance

parade, horse parade, ox parade, food
stands serving local favorites, sports

Sarchí Canton in Alajuela is celebrating the Sarchí Community Fair at the town Fairland, serving up a packed weekend of local culture and entertainment. Live music sets the vibe, night concerts keep the party going, and dance performances bring the rhythm front and center. The fair also includes a pets parade, horse parade, ox parade, food stands with crowd-pleasing eats, sports activities, and a kid-friendly playground area.
