The National Theater in San José sets the stage for the Pianists' Encounter Festival, welcoming standout pianists from 10 countries for what’s recognized as the premier international piano concert in Central America. The lineup includes Michael Seregow from the United States, Francis Yang from Canada, Tinus Botha from South Africa, and many more accomplished performers ready to deliver an unforgettable night of music. This year’s concert honors Spanish pianist Manuel de Falla y Matheu (1876–1946) on the 150th anniversary of his birth, celebrating one of the most influential composers of the 20th century. The performance begins at 7 p.m., with tickets available at the theater box office or online for those ready to experience world-class talent live.
Escenario Theater at Plaza Tempo Shopping Center in San José hosts the comedy play “One More Week,” inspired by the French original “Une Semaine, Pas Plus” by director Clément Michel. This hilarious comedy follows a couple on vacation who, thanks to an unexpected twist, find themselves having to bring their mother-in-law along for the ride.
