Talk about a life-changing lottery win! One lucky Powerball®l player in Bergen County, in the U.S. State of New Jersey, is waking up to an $847 million jackpot after matching all five white balls and the Powerball in Thursday's drawing.

And while one New Jersey player is celebrating an incredible $847 million win, there's still plenty of lottery excitement ahead.

The next
Powerball® drawing takes place Saturday, November 7, with an estimated $20 million jackpot. The cash option is approximately $8 million, giving players another chance to dream big.

If you’re outside the U.S., you’re not necessarily out of the game. Players from any country or nationality can play any international lotteries through The Lotter website.

U.S. residents can also purchase Powerball® tickets directly through the official Powerball® site.

The New Jersey Lottery confirmed that a single ticket hit the massive prize, making one player an overnight multimillionaire.

The jackpot comes with a cash value of $363.1 million.
That's a serious payday, whether the winner decides to take the money all at once or collect it over time.

The winning numbers were 15, 34, 41, 53 and 56, with Powerball® number 21. The ticket also carried a 2X multiplier.

New Jersey Lottery sold the only jackpot-winning ticket at Wegmans Food Market, located at 100 Farm View in Montvale, Bergen County. And the store has something to celebrate, too. It will receive a $30,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Now comes one of the biggest decisions for the lucky winner: take the full advertised $847 million jackpot through an annuity or choose the $363.1 million lump-sum cash payment. Both amounts are before taxes. Anyone choosing the annuity will receive 30 increasing payments over 29 years.

"Congratulations to our newest New Jersey winner. A prize of $847 million is the second largest in the history of the New Jersey Lottery," said New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill.

Sherrill also pointed out that the excitement goes beyond one player's incredible fortune. Every lottery ticket sold in New Jersey helps support the public employee pension system and the people who serve the state.

He encouraged the winner to take their time, consult trusted financial and legal advisers, and reminded everyone to play responsibly.

With a jackpot this big, the New Jersey Lottery has some important advice for the winner. Sign the ticket immediately, make copies and keep it somewhere safe before claiming the prize. Meeting with experienced financial and legal advisers is also a smart move before making any major decisions.

The winner has one year from the drawing date to claim the prize, so there's no need to rush into anything.

International players from any country or nationality can play lottery through The Lotter website.

If you’re in the U.S., you can get your Mega Millions® tickets directly through the official Mega Millions® site.

Tonight’s Mega Millions® drawing goes down at 11 p.m. ET at the WSB-TV studio in Atlanta. After the drawing, the video will be posted on the official Mega Millions® website so players can check those numbers fast.
