The Ministry of Health issued an advisory indicating that parts of chicken bones may be mixed into breast chicken ham from the "Don Cristóbal" brand, which can be purchased in Costa Rica.

Authorities discovered fragments of chicken bones of varied sizes with extremely sharp jagged edges in the ham.

The ministry encouraged customers to dispose of this brand's ham products as soon as possible, citing potential serious health risks.

All supermarkets, or grocery stores that sold such brands, got a recall order to remove them from the shelves.

People who have doubts about the sale of this item can file a complaint by calling the ministry at  2223-0333.

A.M. Costa Rica urges readers to share this alert with their contacts.
